We’re changing the sleep consultant game. Because you and your baby are unique, and your support should be too.

Feel like you’re doing it all wrong? Let’s bust a few baby sleep myths.

Your baby is capable of sleeping well! No, you’re not doing anything ‘wrong’. And no, you most definitely won’t give your baby any bad habits!

Contrary to what all the noise out there might have you believe, baby sleep isn’t black and white.

You want to be responsive to your baby and not leave them alone to cry their little hearts out. But you also want a rhythm and plan in place so you don’t completely lose your mind.

What if we told you, you could have both?

Kia ora, I’m Caylin!

And I know baby sleep can be totally overwhelming!

After the birth of my daughter Claire (who WOULD. NOT. SLEEP), I experienced severe postnatal anxiety and depression. Everyone was telling me different things, and it seemed like my baby was broken while every other baby was sleeping through the night.

I needed support, but sleep consultants were crazy expensive. Many didn’t have any qualifications either, which didn’t give me a whole lot of confidence.

I wanted a different kind of sleep support

I have a masters degree in psychology, and years of experience in the mental health field. So when I felt able, I began using my knowledge of child development, temperament and attachment to support Claire’s sleep.

Having a predictable and consistent rhythm turned things around for us drastically. I’m not exaggerating when I say: it was life-changing.

So I began Pēpi and Parent. To help parents block out the noise with a new kind of sleep support that’s based on sound science, and that’s personal to its core.

Kia ora, I’m Alex!

As a twin mum, I know how overwhelming parenting and sleep can be. With 20+ years of experience from nannying to ECE teaching, I found my passion in supporting parents.

When my twins arrived in 2014, sleep deprivation hit hard, impacting my mental health. That experience led me to dive deep into infant sleep, attachment, and responsive care, becoming a certified Holistic Sleep Coach to support other parents facing the same struggles.

If you’re ready to navigate sleep with less stress and more confidence, I’d love to walk alongside you and support your family!

I take a holistic and responsive approach to sleep. I don’t believe in rigid sleep training or one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I focus on attachment, connection and biologically normal sleep, helping you find realistic sleep rhythms that work for your baby and family. Every child is different, so I tailor my support to your baby’s developmental stage, temperament, and your parenting style, making sleep feel more natural and less stressful.

The Pēpi and Parent approach is:

All About

✔️ Tailoring a plan to YOUR baby, needs, family dynamics and parenting style

✔️ Working towards YOUR goals, whether that be co-sleeping safely, napping on the go, or getting your pēp to finally settle in their cot (it’s not a problem, unless it’s a problem!)

✔️ Nurturing the bond between you and your baby

✔️ Ensuring everything is evidence-based and backed by solid science

✔️ Giving you hope that change is coming!

Definitely Not About

❌ Giving you false expectations about what is biologically realistic for your baby

❌ Handing you a plan that worked for someone else so *should* therefore work for you

❌ Making you do things you’re not comfortable with, or just don’t have the capacity for

❌ Adding more pressure to your already *very* full life

Buy Support, Provide Support Programme For Solo Parents

Having a baby can be especially tough if you don’t have the resources, support, or a partner you can tap out to when it all gets too much.

Part of every paying Pēpi and Parent client’s fee goes toward my ‘Buy Support, Provide Support’ programme. This enables me to give solo parents the sleep support they need, free of charge. Because no one should have to do this alone.

Want to help get support for a loved one, or need some support yourself? I’d love to see how I can help.
